The Skuleberget Cable Car

Enjoy the views on your way up and/or down with the Skuleberget Cable Car. The ride takes about 20 minutes depending on the number of visitors. At the top, you’ll find Skuleberget’s Top Cabin, serving delicious food, coffee, and a full range of beverages, as well as the Top Kiosk, offering hearty sandwiches, pastries, and ice cream.

You can choose to combine your hike with the Skuleberget Cable Car or take a round trip. Our hosts and spacious platforms make getting on and off easy.

General Guidelines and Conditions

  • All visits to the cable car are subject to a fee. 
  • Children and youth are defined as ages 4–18. 
  • Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult. 
  • Family tickets/day passes include a maximum of two (2) adults and two (2) children/youth up to 18 years. 
  • A senior is defined according to the pension rules of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan). 
  • A student is defined as someone who can present a valid ID issued by CSN or equivalent. 
  • The round-trip ticket is valid for the same day and during the cable car’s opening hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my dog ride with me in the cable car?

Yes, if the dog is wearing a harness. In the event of an evacuation, a harness is required to bring the dog down safely. 

As the dog owner, you are responsible for ensuring that your dog sits calmly and securely during the cable car ride. The dog must always ride together with its owner in the same cable car. 

Please bring your own harness for your dog.

How do I pay for the cable car ride?

You pay on site with a bank card or Swish; cash is not accepted. 

All payments are made at the lower boarding and exit station. If you are riding from the top of Skuleberget, you pay upon arrival at the bottom.
